- The Role:This is a manufacturing quality management role for someone experienced in electronics production and regulated environments.

- Requirements:The ideal candidate has seven years of relevant experience, two years in a supervisory role, knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100, SPC, Six Sigma, Lean, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, and 8D.

How will you make an impact?
Lead Quality operations across assigned manufacturing areas by ensuring product compliance, strengthening manufacturing processes, developing the Quality team, and driving cross-functional resolution of issues affecting customers, production, and business performance.
What will you do?
- Lead Quality personnel supporting assigned work cells and customers.
- Establish priorities, assign resources, clarify ownership, and provide daily direction based on production and customer risk.
- Provide temporary leadership and coverage for areas experiencing resource or performance gaps.
- Ensure products and manufacturing processes comply with customer, internal, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Monitor and improve FPY, FNI, OBA, defects, escapes, MRB aging, and corrective-action performance.
- Lead containment, investigation, escalation, and resolution of manufacturing and customer quality issues.
- Oversee NCR, MRB, CAPA, 8D, purge, deviation, and corrective-action activities.
- Drive QRQC, QRAP, JOS/JOS+, and structured problem-solving activities with clear ownership and due dates.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Process, Test, Operations, and customer-facing teams to eliminate recurring defects.
- Balance immediate production support with long-term systemic improvements.
- Support NPI and engineering changes through readiness reviews, compliance matrices, development files, control plans, visuals, and documentation.
- Carry forward lessons learned, risks, key characteristics, and process requirements.
- Identify and coordinate correction of gaps in work instructions, visual aids, inspection criteria, checklists, training, and process controls.
- Maintain audit readiness and support internal, customer, regulatory, ESD, and quality system audits.
- Establish layered audits and routine verification of documented controls.
- Oversee ESD, calibration, particulate monitoring, inspection systems, and product-specific requirements.
- Communicate quality risks, trends, priorities, and recovery plans to leadership.
- Serve as the Quality liaison between production, engineering, leadership, and customers.
- Develop organizational capability through onboarding, training, coaching, feedback, succession planning, and development plans.
- Establish Quality Engineering expectations focused on a build-it-right-the-first-time approach.
- Utilize PFMEA and Control Plans for risk identification and mitigation.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Seven years of relevant experience required, including two years in a supervisory role.
- Preferred Electronics Manufacturing experience including knowledge of SMT, Wave Solder, Selective Solder, and Conformal Coating.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in Six Sigma, Lean, and other quality improvement tools.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address complex quality issues.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Leadership skills for managing quality initiatives and mentoring Quality Engineers and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Project management skills for leading quality improvement activities.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
- Experience supporting NPI through APQP methodology or equivalent processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environments.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing industries.
- Advanced knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, 8D, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience leading customer audits and regulatory compliance activities.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean, or related quality certifications preferred.
