Director of IT Engineering: our view in 3 lines...
- The Role:This role leads IT engineering for a digital transaction management platform focused on identity assurance and corporate systems.
- The Person:The person will lead and grow the IT Engineering team, own the corporate technology roadmap, champion automation and AI tooling, partner with InfoSec, and improve support using data-driven root-cause fixes.
- Requirements:The role calls for 10 to 15 years of experience, deep hands-on experience with Okta, Google Workspace experience strongly preferred, and experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps workflows.
About the role
Proof's IT function is evolving from a reactive, ticket-driven help desk into a modern IT Engineering team, applying an engineering mindset to managing the corporate systems our employees rely on every day.
We're already a forward-thinking team: initiatives like passwordless authentication and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) have measurably lowered our ticket volume.
We're now hiring a Director to lead the next phase: building durable engineering practices, mentoring the team, and setting a multi-year strategy for how Proof manages its corporate technology stack with rigor. That means leaning into infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation-first workflows, and agentic/AI-driven operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set strategy, mentor, and represent IT to the rest of the business, while staying close to the work.
This position will be posted and accepting applications through September 18, 2026.
