- The Role:This role supports business technology operations as the first technical point of contact for end users at a medium-sized tech firm spun out of McLaren Group.
- The Person:The person will handle service desk requests, provision and decommission devices, run ICT inductions, package applications, maintain meeting rooms and printers, manage incidents to resolution, and support information and cyber security.
- Requirements:The ideal candidate has Windows and Mac troubleshooting experience, Intune, Defender, JAMF, EntraID, M365 Suite, service desk ticketing tools, application packaging, and knowledge of information security frameworks and ISO27001.

Purpose of the Role
To support the organisation through Business Technology Operations.  
Scope of Role 
- Operate the Service Desk, being the 1st technical point of contact for the user community
- Working within the Business Technology team to deliver the best experience for the end-usersÂ
Â
Principal Accountabilities
- Handle incoming technical support though the Service Desk system and walk-ins to the Tech Bar, and manage the support requestsÂ
- Provision and decommission user devices and provide induction for use of the ICT systemsÂ
- Run ICT inductions and help new staff through the ICT on-boarding processÂ
- Install Engineering applications through service desk processesÂ
- Package Applications for Windows and MacÂ
- Manage and maintain meeting roomsÂ
- Support asset and change management processesÂ
- Manage printers and their updatesÂ
- Capture knowledge and write support articlesÂ
- Help advise our user community on the best application / service for their requirementÂ
- Manage incidents to resolution within SLAÂ
- Analyses and repairs ICT product failures (software and hardware) including the Interpretation of diagnostics reports (e.g. system logs, network statistics, fault codes etc.) to determine root causesÂ
- Liaise with hardware vendor when in support assets failÂ
- Work in a flexible manner with other teams to resolve user issuesÂ
- Information and cyber security management of corporate and product assetsÂ
- Out of hours support via on-call rotaÂ
- Escalate to Service Desk Manager/Business Technology team where requiredÂ
- Supporting the multiple sites in the Woking area.Â
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Windows and Mac TroubleshootingÂ
- Excellent customer ServiceÂ
- Experience of Intune, Defender, JAMF, EntraID & M365 Suite Â
- Previous experience of service desk ticketing toolsÂ
- Application PackagingÂ
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage time to get the best outcome for the businessÂ
- Experience of engineering /CAD systems would be an advantageÂ
- Knowledge of Information security frameworks, with experience of maintaining certification programmes (ISO27001) and aligned with standards in the automotive and rail industryÂ
