About the role

Meta is seeking a forward-thinking candidate to join the Foundation Labs team as a project lead. The Project Lead interfaces with partners and customers, and with engineers on our team, to manage intakes and deployments in our lab spaces. Communication and technical aptitude are critical in this role. Operational efficiency is key, as is developing an actionable strategy on how to scale the Foundation Labs' capacity (space/power/network). The Project Lead is a critical role in continuing to accelerate hardware development at Meta.

This role requires identifying effective and efficient approaches to solving complex problems across varied environments, from small-scale to hyper-scale. This role is full-time and will be fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks associated with projects related to the broader lab's strategy
  • Regularly interface with multiple cross-functional groups within Meta to ensure clear and consistent documentation of program requirements
  • Maintain and develop relationships with external suppliers and internal partners to build a strong support network
  • Identify, onboard and support new lab stakeholders as technology evolves
  • Contribute to a broad range of projects within the labs, adapting to evolving priorities and business needs
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience planning and leading projects
  • Proven communication skills and experience managing a multitude of tasks
  • Self-driven and experience working autonomously
  • Experience in computer systems and picking-up new technologies quickly
  • Detail oriented communication and documentation
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with external vendors and suppliers in hardware/technology contexts
  • Experience managing hardware lab operations or data center environments
  • Experience with project tracking tools and documentation systems
  • Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar)
  • Familiarity with hardware development lifecycles or prototype lab workflows
  • Experience with capacity planning and resource allocation for technical infrastructure

$173,000/year to $245,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
