Engineering Team Lead - Brand Experience.

Are you a Senior Frontend Developer wanting to continue building your leadership skills? If so, Betsson Group is now hiring! We are looking for a Frontend Engineering Team Lead to join in our Athens office, managing our awesome people. 

The Wow

The Engineering Team Lead assists the Engineering Manager with building high-performance teams by leading a team of highly talented people, ensuring everyone has the right environment and platform to succeed in their career as well as fostering a healthy team spirit and culture. To effectively lead a team, the Team Lead needs to have an active role as a hands-on member of the team, participate actively in the team's activities and take ownership of the team's performance.

A taster of what you will be involved with: 

• Building a team with the right mix of skills and knowledge through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Building and evolving our multi-brand Frontend Platform using a micro-frontend architecture and web components so teams can ship independently. TypeScript and  RxJS / Signals for reactive and robust UIs, and Playwright for end-to-end automation tests.
• Direct line management of people in the team, being accountable for their performance, satisfaction and career development planning.
• Driving and facilitating the team's delivery to production in terms of both time and quality, taking responsibility to ensure the team makes commitments and lives up to expectations.
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration and passion for quality in our products.

What we are looking for

• A strong Frontend Engineering background and experience with TypeScript / JavaScript and Observable technologies (RxJS / Signals).
• Ability to efficiently review PRs and provide constructive feedback
• A good understanding of Agile Methodologies. You are expected to both lead and coach the team on these frameworks.
• Natural leader who wants to coach and inspire individuals to grow further in their career.
• Communicates effectively with his team and ability to communicate upwards with Engineering Managers and Head of Engineering.
• Someone who can balance their day-to-day workload efficiently between leadership, software engineering and initiative management.
• Is approachable and open, honest and accountable and who builds trust, shares knowledge willingly and contributes to a collaborative team culture.
