What You'll Do

• Participate in end-to-end feature development, growing social and gameplay systems.
• Own features from concept through release and monitoring.
• Implement frontend functionality in JavaScript across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Compose and build backend services and APIs in PHP to power new gameplay, social, and LiveOps features.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs consumed by client applications.
• Contribute to data modeling and persistence for player progression, rewards, and events.
• Improve backend efficiency to handle high concurrency and sizable player populations.
• Ensure features are reliable, testable, and production-ready.
• Assess and optimize frontend and backend performance to provide a fluid player experience.
• Partner with Product to scope technical solutions and make pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Monitor post-launch performance and iterate based on player behavior and metrics.
• Translate creative concepts into engaging, scalable systems.
• Help foster an inclusive engineering atmosphere dedicated to education and constant progress.
• Proactively find opportunities to improve architecture, tooling, and delivery practices.

What We're Looking For

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript in production environments.
• Experience building backend services in a live environment.
• Experience crafting and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of client-server architecture.
• Experience contributing to features through the full development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a player-first approach.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience developing backend services in PHP (strongly preferred).
• Experience working within an existing PHP codebase.
• Experience building gameplay systems such as events, rewards, progression, or social mechanics.
• Experience in mobile gaming, social casino, or Games-as-a-Service environments.
• Familiarity with experimentation, feature flags, or live feature delivery.
• Mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android).
