About the company

The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own software projects from first idea through to production in a small, high-autonomy engineering team. Build and extend data, research and execution systems, and work closely with researchers on modeling. The role spans a broad range of problems and rewards curiosity and independent thinking.
What you'll do
- Take projects from concept through implementation and into production, owning them end to end.
- Build and extend existing systems, or create new ones, for data pipelines, signal generation and research infrastructure.
- Develop automated execution systems and internal tooling that shorten the path from idea to live experiment.
- Partner directly with quantitative and AI researchers on new modeling approaches.
- Contribute across several technical areas, including low-latency infrastructure, security and machine learning.

- Exceptional software engineering skills in Python or C++.
- A solid grasp of statistics and the ability to draw sound conclusions from messy, imperfect data.
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Ability to work on-site in the office five days a week.
- Roughly 1 to 5 years of experience, with curiosity about financial markets and comfort with ambiguity.
