About the role
Job Description Summary:
About the RoleÂ
Digital products play a central role in how we create value for customers, support the teams who serve them, and shape the consumer experience.Â
Â
Our product organization brings together small, empowered teams that move with clarity, speed, Â
and purpose, enabling digital to be a meaningful source of advantage across Coca-Cola’s North America Operating Unit.Â
Our work spans customer journeys, service delivery, sales workflows, and the platforms that connect them. We are raising our standards for product craft and rebuilding the systems behind these experiences.Â
Â
As a Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor on an empowered product team, working closely with Product Management, Design, and fellow Engineers to build high-quality software that solves real customer problems. This role is for engineers who want to grow their craft, develop strong product instincts, and contribute to solutions—not just execute tasks.Â
Â
What You Will Work OnÂ
Build user-centered, enterprise software that directly improves how sales teams work with customers. Engineers on the Sales Experience team partner closely with users, product, design and other stakeholders to design, build, and evolve connected tools, data, and workflows used daily by sales teams. You will build solutions across the North America Operating Unit across Retail, Food Service, and finance teams. The work spans experimentation, systems thinking, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for optimizing business outcomes like profitable volume growth, productivity, execution quality, and customer impact rather than technology for its own sake. Â
You’ll help create scalable, reliable platforms and experiences that reduce friction, surface insights, and enable better decisions all while operating at the standards required of enterprise software.Â
Â
Â
How We WorkÂ
You’ll be part of a dedicated, cross-functional team (Product, Design, Engineering) that is:Â
-
Empowered to solve problems, not just build featuresÂ
-
Accountable for outcomes, not outputÂ
-
Collaborative by default, from discovery through deliveryÂ
-
Continuously learning, using data and customer insight to improveÂ
Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Partner in Discovery & Solution ShapingÂ
-
Partner with Product Management and Product Design to deeply understand customer problems, workflows, and pain pointsÂ
-
Contribute to solution discovery, including ideation, prototyping, and evaluating multiple approachesÂ
-
Bring a technical perspective to help the team identify what is feasible, what is valuable, and what is worth buildingÂ
-
Challenge assumptions and propose alternative solutions that are simpler, faster, or more impactfulÂ
Â
Lead Technical Direction for the TeamÂ
-
Define and guide the technical approach, architecture, and system design for your team’s product areaÂ
-
Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, scalability, maintainability, and costÂ
-
Ensure alignment with broader platform and enterprise architecture where appropriateÂ
-
Identify and manage technical risks early, surfacing tradeoffs clearly to partnersÂ
Â
Own End-to-End Engineering OutcomesÂ
-
Lead the team in delivering high-quality solutions that meet standards for performance, reliability, security, and scalabilityÂ
-
Ensure strong engineering practices, including testing, observability, and CI/CDÂ
-
Maintain a high bar for code quality and system design through reviews and hands-on contributionÂ
-
Drive continuous improvement of the product through iteration, feedback, and learningÂ
Â
Own Outcome-Oriented DeliveryÂ
-
Partner with Product and Data to define and track success metrics and outcomesÂ
-
Ensure the team is focused on delivering meaningful impact, not just completing workÂ
-
Use data, customer feedback, and experimentation to guide decisions and prioritize improvementsÂ
-
Help the team balance short-term delivery with long-term product and technical healthÂ
Â
Contribute to a Strong Engineering CultureÂ
-
Help define and evolve engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across teamsÂ
-
Promote a culture of pragmatism, simplicity, and high-quality executionÂ
-
Collaborate with other tech leads to ensure consistency and leverage shared solutions where appropriateÂ
Â
What We’re Looking ForÂ
-
Strong full stack engineering skills (frontend + backend, APIs, modern architectures)Â
-
Product mindset: Cares about users, outcomes, and why things are builtÂ
-
Technical judgment: Makes smart tradeoffs, avoids over-engineeringÂ
-
Ownership & leadership: Takes initiative and influences decisionsÂ
-
Collaboration: Works effectively with product managers and designersÂ
Â
Key QualificationsÂ
-
5+ years of software engineering experienceÂ
-
Experience building and shipping production-grade applicationsÂ
-
Experience building and integrating with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), including designing scalable data integrations, enabling seamless cross-platform experiences, and leading the customization of Salesforce to support complex, end-to-end business workflows.Â
-
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (frontend and backend)Â
-
Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and cloud environmentsÂ
Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
-
Experience working on cross-functional product teams (Product, Design, Engineering)Â
-
Experience contributing to product discovery or solution design, not just deliveryÂ
-
Track record of technical leadership within a team (formal or informal)Â
-
Experience building customer-facing productsÂ
-
Familiarity with modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability)Â
Â
EducationÂ
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldÂ
-
Equivalent practical experience is equally valuedÂ
Â
Who Thrives HereÂ
Engineers who:Â
-
Are curious about customers and how products create valueÂ
-
Enjoy collaborating and debating ideas across disciplinesÂ
-
Take pride in both what they build and why it mattersÂ
Â
Who This Role Is Not ForÂ
This role may not be the right fit if you:Â
-
Prefer working from detailed requirements with limited ambiguityÂ
-
Want to focus primarily on coding without engaging in product decisionsÂ
-
Are most comfortable in highly structured, delivery-driven environmentsÂ
