Summary
The Associate Network Engineer provides installation, maintenance and support for Sanford Health's local area and wide area network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, high performance data, video, and voice communications.
The Associate Network Engineer is an entry-level technology professional responsible for supporting, maintaining, and learning enterprise network infrastructure across Sanford Health locations and services. This role focuses primarily on fulfilling service requests and planned network work through ServiceNow, including configuration updates, provisioning activities, documentation maintenance, and operational support under the guidance of experienced network engineers.
This position is designed for individuals who are building a career in networking and want hands-on experience supporting large-scale healthcare infrastructure. While troubleshooting is part of the job, this position is not primarily a break/fix incident-response role and has minimal involvement in network project work. Instead, the role is focused on daily operational tasks, service delivery, and maintaining reliable network services while developing foundational enterprise networking skills.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, a desire to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team that supports reliable and secure network infrastructure critical to healthcare delivery.
This role is approximately 90% remote; however, candidates must reside within one hour of a Sanford Health major medical center and possess a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle to support occasional on-site responsibilities and regional travel requirements.
