Your MissionSledgehammer Games is looking for a Senior Technical Dialogue Designer to help create a fresh new AAA aural experience for our next project. Candidates should be versed in dialog editing and processing techniques and have a general knowledge of dialog pipelines. You will report to our Dialogue Director and help ensure delivery of the highest quality dialog with the use of internally developed proprietary tools.<ul><li>Collaborate with the Dialogue, Narrative and Engineering Teams, ensuring excellent inter-departmental communication and alignment of goals.</li><li>Design features and iterate on proprietary Dialogue Tool and Database.</li><li>Dialogue asset implementation using proprietary tools.</li><li>Test and debug all in-game dialog for multiple implementation pipelines.</li><li>Edit and process dialogue assets for all aspects of our game.</li><li>Apply studio and departmental best practices of dialogue workflows and systems.</li><li>Inspire teamwork and collaboration inside and outside the Audio Dept.</li></ul>Player Profile<ul><li>Demonstrated experience in all aspects of game dialogue.</li><li>Expertise in proprietary/third party Dialogue Tools and Databases.</li><li>Experience in both linear and interactive dialogue systems.</li><li>Minimum five years of experience in game audio development.</li><li>Shipped at least two major titles.</li><li>Understanding of PS5, XBOX One/Series X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations.</li><li>Experience with major digital audio workstations.</li><li>Experience with middleware programs such as Wwise and Fmod.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Exceptional organization skills.</li><li>Continuing Education Certificate, Professional or advanced degree in programming, audio engineering, or similar preferred.</li></ul>Bonus XP<ul><li>FPS/Multi-player experience a plus.</li><li>Audio scripting experience.</li><li>College degree preferred.</li></ul>Our World At Activision, we strive to create the most iconic brands in gaming and entertainment. This represents the expected annualized base salary for new hires in this position and for the Ontario location listed, in accordance with the Ontario Pay Transparency Act. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, performance, and work location. For hourly positions, the range shown is the annual expected base pay, based on 40 hours per week. In addition to competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation and benefits. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
