Job Description

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Security is our highest priority. The AWS Security Assurance team is responsible for demonstrating the security controls of services offered by AWS. At AWS’ scale, we must invent new ways to provide the highest level of assurance to our most regulatory conscious customers.

We are looking for a motivated assurance professional to join our team. As part of the team, you will support and execute compliance engagements across AWS’s global audit portfolio, improve processes, and contribute to greater efficiencies across the security assurance organization. This role facilitates our ability to grow and scale our internal compliance processes to meet the compliance and regulatory expectations in markets and industries around the globe. You should be an emerging professional who has the ability to understand IT and compliance processes, execute within defined workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Key job responsibilities
Support the end-to-end lifecycle of assurance engagements across third-party certifications (e.g., SOC, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, C5, IRAP), customer assurance programs, and regulatory examinations

Participate in auditor discussions, evidence coordination, control identification, and engagement closure activities within structured workflows

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and service teams to gather, validate, and deliver audit artifacts in support of engagement objectives

Identify relevant risks, processes, and controls within established frameworks to support audit readiness and response

Track engagement milestones, flag blockers, and maintain status updates to support engagement leads and team visibility

Field and address requests for team support in collaboration with internal stakeholders

Contribute to process improvement initiatives by documenting observations, identifying reuse opportunities, and supporting operational efficiency efforts

A day in the life
Support active assurance engagements across third-party, customer, and regulatory programs spanning multiple regions and regulatory environments — participating in the full lifecycle from auditor discussions through evidence delivery and closure

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather documentation, validate quality, and ensure timely delivery against engagement timelines

Participate in auditor interactions alongside experienced practitioners, building familiarity of risk, process and control, scoping, and communication expectations

Identify relevant controls and assess whether existing artifacts address audit requirements or require additional collection efforts

Support engagement leads by tracking deliverables, maintaining engagement status, and escalating issues appropriately

Contribute observations and documentation to team knowledge stores, improving reusability and efficiency for future engagements
