Job Description

EMEA Marketing Governance & Enablement Manager The Marketing Governance & Enablement Leader – EMEA is responsible for driving rigor and administrative excellence across EMEA by owning and continuously improving governance, processes, budget and spend management, and core ways of working for Marketing & Communications. The role does not include people leadership, but carries high levels of ownership, accountability and influence. This role helps the team to operate as a high‑performing function, allowing leaders and specialists to focus on strategy, creativity and commercial impact, underpinned by strong controls, efficient processes and reliable data. What the day will look like Governance & Ways of Working • Own and maintain the EMEA Marketing and Communication governance and process framework, including key forums, meeting cadences, decision rights and RACI. • Design and refine standards for planning, approvals, escalation and performance tracking. • Oversee and coordinate the Marketing and Communication reporting framework for EMEA, ensuring consistent, timely reporting within the function and to business colaborators. • Coordinate key governance and reporting meetings for the CMO EMEA • Ensure alignment with global frameworks, standards, compliance and audit requirements. • Act as internal audit for the EMEA Marketing and Communication function. Process Design & Enablement • Map, document and improve core Marketing and Communication processes (e.g. campaign management, approvals, spend management, events & sponsorships, local activation, legal & compliance and brand and creative). • Lead the coordination of all local client sponsorship by establishing regular reporting (e.g. number of sponsorships, country allocation, solution line allocation, cost, estimated return on investment, etc.) • Coordinate and monitor service levels and quality standards with stakeholders within Marketing and Communication globally and in-region; support adoption across markets and teams. • Identify and address process pain points and bottlenecks, proposing pragmatic improvements. Budget & Spend Management • Support the EMEA Marketing and Communication budget rhythm with the CMO and Finance. • Maintain a clear view of budget utilization and committed spending, tracking at appropriate levels and preparing regular reports that highlight risks, variances and optimisation opportunities. Tools, Platforms & Technology • Own and champion key governance tools and platforms (e.g. Marketing and Communication Cockpit, Monday.com, Hive9) with standards, playbooks, process documentation and “how‑to” guides for EMEA Marketing and Communication. Map and document processes for tools & platforms, innovate further development. • Coordinate core dashboards for the CMO and EMEA Marketing and Communication Leadership Team (activity pipeline, timelines, resource utilisation and budget status). • Develop and maintain standard templates and tools (e.g. briefs, trackers, reporting formats) that drive consistency and efficiency. Project Management & Knowledge Management • Project Manager for supporting and coordinating annual and quarterly planning processes, translating objectives into executable plans with clear milestones and owners. • Set up and coordinate a sustainable and effective “teach and learn” training program across EMEA Marketing and Communication on tools, platforms, processes and standards. • Support ad‑hoc strategic or enablement initiatives for the CMO EMEA requiring strong structure and coordination. • Build strong working relationships with Marketing and Communication leaders in-region and in-country and functional partners to ensure alignment and transparency. Capture and share best practices from across EMEA and other regions to support continuous governance and process improvement. Skills and experience that will lead to success • Experience in project management, business analytics, process management and/or operations in a complex, matrixed organization. • Proven track record in project management and governance, including setting up and running governance forums, agendas and reporting rhythms. • Experience designing, implementing and embedding new frameworks, processes and standards, ideally within Marketing & Communications or a related function. • Experience working with business analytics, measurement and dashboards to support decision making and continuous improvement. • Strong project management and organizational skills • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically, moving between detailed execution and bigger picture thinking as needed. • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; with additional European language(s). • Demonstrated skills in messaging and positioning new frameworks, processes and agendas to drive understanding and adoption. • Strong affinity with technology, tools and platforms.
