Strategy & Operations Lead, Special Projects: our view in 3 lines...
- The Role: An operator role supporting the CEO to lead high-priority strategic projects across pricing, partnerships, org design, and go-to-market at an AI company serving home service businesses.
- The Person: Own end-to-end strategic workstreams including pricing and packaging analysis, org design, partnership identification and negotiation, and executing cross-functional marketing programs.
- Requirements: 5–8 years experience with roots in strategy consulting or investment banking and prior operator experience owning P&L or major cross-functional outcomes.
Job Description
Broccoli is growing fast, and we're looking for a sharp, execution-obsessed operator to work directly with our CEO on the highest-priority strategic projects across the business. This isn't a PowerPoint-and-debrief role: you'll own workstreams end-to-end, move between 30,000-foot strategy and ground-level execution, and have a meaningful impact on how the company is built.
This role is intentionally broad. You'll be the person the CEO reaches for when something important needs to get done right and fast, whether that's stress-testing a new pricing model, standing up a go-to-market program, designing how a team should be structured, or negotiating a partnership from term sheet to close.
If you've come out of consulting or banking and have since gotten your hands dirty at a startup, or if you've been a GM or operator who thinks rigorously, this role was designed for you.
What You'll Work On
- Special projects — own whatever the most important, time-sensitive, and ambiguous thing is at any given moment; scope will shift as the company's needs do
- Pricing & packaging — build the analytical frameworks and competitive context to inform how we price and position our products
- Org design — work with the CEO and leadership team to think through how we structure and scale the organization as we grow
- Partnerships strategy — identify, evaluate, and close strategic partnerships; own the relationship and the commercial terms
- Marketing program management — drive execution of cross-functional marketing initiatives from planning through measurement
Who You Are
- 5–8 years of experience, with roots in strategy consulting or investment banking and at least one chapter as an operator at a startup or high-growth company
- You've been a GM, a founder, a chief of staff, or played a similar role where you owned a P&L or a major cross-functional outcome, not just advised on one
- You're equally comfortable building a model, writing a memo, running a meeting, and following up to close a loop
- You thrive in ambiguity and don't need a fully scoped brief to get started
- You have strong opinions, but you hold them loosely and update when you see new data
- You communicate clearly and directly, to the CEO, to external partners, and to teams across the company
Why This Role
You'll have real ownership, real access, and real scope from day one. The projects you work on will shape the company's strategy and trajectory, not sit in a slide deck. You'll build a deep relationship with the CEO and get exposure to every function of the business. For the right person, this is a direct path to a senior operating role at Broccoli.
