Lead AI Game Engineer

London / Hybrid · Up to £140,000

We build real-money HTML5 slot games with a small, senior team. We use AI as a core part of how we develop not as an experiment, but as a genuine workflow.

THE ROLE

You'll lead development of our next generation of slot games. Hands-on technical leadership, you're still writing code. You'll help define how AI-assisted workflows get built into the studio's process, and mentor a small team of strong engineers.

Prior slot game development experience is non-negotiable.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Lead development of new slot game titles from concept to production

• Build core game systems and reusable frameworks in JS/TS

• Prototype and ship quickly using AI-assisted development loops

• Collaborate directly with designers and product to turn ideas into playable games

• Mentor and help grow the engineering team

REQUIRED

• Slot game experience - real-money or social casino platforms (essential)

• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript

• HTML5 game development

• Rendering frameworks - PIXI.js, Phaser, or similar

• Comfortable using AI coding tools day-to-day (Claude Code strongly preferred)

• Strong architectural and system design thinking

• Able to ship production, quality software at pace

NICE TO HAVE

• Familiarity with slot mechanics - reels, paylines, bonus systems, RNG

• Experience with slot math models, RTP, or volatility design

• Experience building reusable game engines or frameworks
