- The Role: Develop and enhance customer-facing frontend and backend digital solutions such as chatbots and platform features for an insurance group's digital platform.
- The Person: Collaborate with BAs and cross-functional IT teams to analyse systems, implement frontend and backend applications, build chatbot and voicebot features on Azure, participate in code reviews and provide technical support throughout projects.
- Requirements: Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, ReactJS, Node.js, SQL, Git, CI/CD practices and Azure is required or advantageous.
Job Description
Responsibilities: Collaborate with business analysts to understand business objectives, user requirements, and operational processes. Conduct analysis of existing processes and systems to identify improvement opportunities and propose effective technical solutions. Develop and implement applications across frontend (web/mobile) and backend platforms based on approved technical designs. Build and enhance digital solutions such as Chatbots, Voicebots, and Customer Digital Platform features on Azure cloud. Work closely with tech leads, developers, BAs, QAs, and cross‑functional IT teams to ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and integration expectations. Assist stakeholders by providing technical insights, troubleshooting support, and guidance throughout project lifecycles. Participate in code reviews, adhere to best development practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize AI tools (e.g., code assistants, test automation tools, architecture assistants) to boost coding efficiency, documentation, and problem‑solving. Qualifications: Experience: 3–5 years of hands‑on software development experience in full‑stack engineering roles. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, C#. Frontend development using ReactJS (or equivalent modern frameworks). Backend development using Node.js, including API development and integration. Experience with SQL databases, Git, and standard CI/CD practices. Cloud & Integration (Advantage): Experience in Azure cloud, especially in Chatbot, Voicebot, or cloud‑native applications. Azure certifications are a plus. AI & Emerging Tech (Advantage): Experience working with AI/ML technologies or developing PoCs. Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity. Solution Delivery: Experience handling technical solutions for medium to large-scale systems. Strong requirements analysis and documentation skills. Ability to understand and troubleshoot challenges across different technology tracks. Collaboration: Ability to work with Group Office tech teams and local IT teams (architects, BA, etc.) across different locations. Soft Skills: Strong problem‑solving skills, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset. Fast‑learning, proactive, and comfortable working in an agile environment.
