Role Overview:

 

The Tech Product Manager in Messaging Platform - Messaging Platform powers off site communication with travelers through a diverse set of channels such as email, push, sms, whatsapp and more. The product manager owns end-to-end the delivery based on user needs and the company's product strategy and vision. Able to understand engineering challenges, maintain technical conversation and troubleshoot API related tech issues independently.

The Product Manager actively owns the product strategy and direction for the product area by understanding user, partner, and market needs and by working closely with account managers, developers, analysts, researchers, product marketing managers and others to deliver successful products.  

 

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

 

  • Responsible for the full product dev cycle of Traveler Messaging Platform, including requirements gathering, impact assessment, prioritization, releases, QA, collaborative stakeholder management, proactive risk management.

  • Be responsible for the platform performance metrics.

  • Troubleshoot API issues, QA new APIs, write API documentation.

  • Preparing and presenting cases for the platform improvements, business enablement and issue resolution.

  • Drive alignment of projects/programs across marketing and other business units including tech stakeholders.

 

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in platform Product Management capable of driving independently.

  • Ability to understand implication of technical decisions to the product, contribute in a technical conversation, write technical documentation and dogfood APIs as well as troubleshoot technical API issues.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. Past experience with managing large amounts of stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills - being able to communicate effectively both strategic vision and specific details to various stakeholders, from leadership to individual team members and the tech. Being able to write clear and concise product requirements, status updates and product results.

  • Strong analytical skills - Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend effective action plans to resolve issues.

  • Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated by the ability to structure issues and analyze alternative solutions.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
