About the role
Dragonfly is a crypto-native Venture Capital and research firm with $3.6B+ in assets under management and 160+ portfolio companies. Our Talent team connects people with roles across our portfolio, opening the door to opportunities through our Talent Network.

We're actively sourcing for Staff Engineers across multiple portfolio companies. These are high-ownership, hands-on roles for engineers who want to be close to the code and architecture.
Location: San Francisco (onsite) / some roles are NYC or USA (remote)
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of end-to-end ownership
- AI-forward mindset, you build with and on top of AI as a core part of your workflow, not an afterthought
- Full-stack capability with comfort owning architecture, infrastructure, and deployment
- Experience shipping production systems at scale with real users and real stakes
- Strong technical instincts, you push for simpler designs, good observability, and strong engineering culture
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast in early-stage environments
About the Roles:
- End-to-end ownership across product, infra, and architecture
- Work directly with founders and small teams, no layers, no bureaucracy
- Ship fast, iterate, and have a real say in technical direction
- Build AI-native features, integrations, and systems from the ground up
A note: several of these teams are specifically looking for engineering leaders who want to return to being hands-on individual contributors. If you've been in management and miss building, this is worth a look.
