Position Summary
Duval Sign Solutions is a growing, full-service commercial sign company specializing in the design, permitting, fabrication, installation, and repair of interior and exterior signage. We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Graphic Designer who enjoys creating professional signage while working closely with customers, project managers, and production staff. MUST WORK AT OFFICE (NO REMOTE).
This is a hands-on position where you'll help transform ideas into high-quality signs that enhance businesses throughout Northeast Florida.
Responsibilities
- Â Design a wide variety of commercial signage including:Â
- Â Monument signsÂ
- Â Channel lettersÂ
- Â ADA signageÂ
- Â Lobby signsÂ
- Â Wayfinding systemsÂ
- Â Wall graphicsÂ
- Â Window graphicsÂ
- Â Dimensional lettersÂ
- Â Vehicle graphics (simple lettering and decals)Â
- Â Banners and promotional signageÂ
- Â Prepare production-ready artwork using Adobe Creative Suite or Corel Draw
- Â Create customer proofs and revise artwork based on feedback.Â
- Â Develop shop drawings and fabrication layouts.Â
- Â Produce permit drawings when required.Â
- Â Prepare CNC router files, print files, and vinyl cut files.Â
- Â Work with project managers to ensure projects remain on schedule.Â
- Â Coordinate with fabrication and installation teams regarding production requirements.Â
- Â Maintain organized electronic project files.Â
- Â Communicate professionally with customers regarding artwork revisions.Â
- Â Assist with occasional site surveys and field measurements.Â
Qualifications
Required:
- Â 2+ years of graphic design experienceÂ
- Â Proficiency with:Â
- Â Adobe Illustrator (expert) or Corel Draw
- Â Adobe PhotoshopÂ
- Â Adobe AcrobatÂ
- Â Excellent typography and layout skillsÂ
- Â Strong attention to detailÂ
- Â Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyÂ
- Â Excellent communication and customer service skillsÂ
- Â Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Â Valid driver's licenseÂ
Preferred:
- Â Experience designing commercial signageÂ
- Â Experience with SignTracker or other sign management softwareÂ
- Â Knowledge of large-format printingÂ
- Â Experience preparing vinyl cutting filesÂ
- Â Experience with CNC routingÂ
- Â Knowledge of ADA signage requirementsÂ
- Â Basic understanding of sign fabrication methodsÂ
- Â Experience preparing permit drawingsÂ
