- The Role:This role is for a staff software engineer building consumer product features for GeminiApp at Google DeepMind.
- The Person:The person will design, build, and deploy consumer product features, work with product, design, and research teams, develop reusable code libraries and frameworks, and iterate rapidly on prototypes and features.
- Requirements:The ideal candidate has 8 years of experience with software development in web, iOS, Android, backend or ML services, plus 5 years of design and architecture and testing or launching software products.
About the role
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more of the following: web (JavaScript/TypeScript, React), iOS (Swift, Objective-C), Android (Kotlin, Java), backend or ML services.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
- Experience building and shipping consumer-facing software products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
