This is a senior, hands-on engineering role for someone who combines strong software engineering expertise with deep knowledge of AI, ML, and LLM-based applications.

We are looking for candidates based in Germany, ideally near one of our offices in Freiburg or Frankfurt. Remote work within Germany is possible, combined with regular visits to our offices, as we strongly value in-person collaboration and our office culture.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling AI services that create measurable value for our customers. You will work closely with product, engineering, and AI experts to bring innovative solutions into production.
  • Build scalable AI services: Design, develop, and operate secure, reliable, and production-ready AI/ML services.
  • Shape AI architecture: Drive technical decisions around AI systems, LLM integrations, observability, and platform scalability.
  • Deliver business impact: Transform customer and product requirements into high-quality AI solutions that solve real-world planning challenges.
  • Optimize performance and cost: Define efficient and maintainable AI architectures with a strong focus on scalability and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Mentor and elevate: Support fellow engineers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant work with AI/ML technologies.
  • Strong expertise in Python and production-grade AI/ML application development.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, forecasting, regression, classification, or related AI domains.
  • Proven experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar WSGI/ASGI frameworks in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud-native development, monitoring, and observability.
  • Experience building robust, scalable, and maintainable software products.
  • Thrives in agile environments and enjoys collaborating across disciplines.
