  • The Role:This is an apprentice role supporting school data, exam and reporting systems in a secondary school.
  • The Person:The person will support student data, exam entry and results processes, update timetables and course information, and produce reporting data and data collection sheets.
  • Requirements:The role requires Maths and English at GCSE level A-C (4-9) or Functional Skills equivalent and training toward School Business Administrator Level 3.

About the role

Alsop High School are looking for a career driven and organised candidate to join their busy team. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and obtaining a level 3 qualification in School business Administration. The purspose of the role is to support the school systems and processes for exams and data. 

Working week 

Monday to Friday - Term time plus 15 additional days to support the KS4 and KS5 results

37 hours per week total 

Daily hours to be confirmed. 

Wage 

£12.71 per hour

Qualification 

School Business Administrator Level 3

Duration: 16 Months 

Training Provider: LMP Education

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • To work with the Data and MIS Manager on all aspects of student data.
  • To assist with the uploading of data on Academy achievement reporting system SISRA.
  •  To assist with collecting data for the schools assessment entry system on BromCom.
  • To support  on all aspects of student reporting e.g. progress monitoring sheets after each AP point.
  • To ensure that the school complies with the regulations of the Data Protection Act.
  • To support the school exam entry systems.
  • To assist with periodic cleansing of data on SISRA.
  • To assist with retrieving prior data on students using keys to success website.
  • To assist with keeping course manager up to date throughout the year.

Examinations 

  • Support with whole school internal and external exams.
  • Support with the examination processes as detailed below. 
  • Dissemination of results to staff, students and parents.
  • Reading in result files.
  • Organisation of seating plans.

Assessment, Reporting and  Recording 

  • To assist with the distribution of student attainment data: report grades,  examination results, gender information, student groups for use in target setting, prior attainment information, Ofsted analysis, etc. 
  • To assist in producing and importing student targets for KS3 and KS4 in line with  the academy target setting procedure. 

Student Data 

  •  To input data for new intake and any new starters.
  • To update any in year student information changes.
  • Produce Data collection sheets prior to Parents Evening for each year group.
  • To assist with the administration of year 9 guided choices process. 

Timetable 

  • Update and apply periodic and casual changes to timetables, courses, teachers, and 
    rooms. 
  • Ensure accuracy of pupil data form groups/class groups and year groups. 
  • To understand and set up banding changes and procedures. 
  • Maintain and check course information sheets alongside course manager information. 
  • Print timetables prior to new academic year and when/if there are changes.

Education and Qualifications 

Maths and English at GCSE level A-C (4-9) or Functional Skills equivalent.
