- The Role:This role is for an application operations engineer supporting enterprise applications in a large-scale data centre migration programme.
- The Person:The person will maintain enterprise application environments, support production and non production systems, investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, support migration activities, and help manage incident, problem, change, release and configuration processes.
- Requirements:The ideal candidate has commercial experience in Application Operations, Application Administration or Application Support, plus knowledge of PL SQL or T SQL and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Shell, Python or Perl.
About the role
We are looking for an AppOps Engineer to support business-critical enterprise applications within a large-scale Data Centre Migration programme. The role focuses on application operations, production support, troubleshooting, environment administration, and selected migration activities, working closely with Linux, middleware, infrastructure, development, and security teams to ensure stable and reliable application environments.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and administer enterprise application environments
• Take ownership of selected daily operational activities
• Support production and non production application environments
• Monitor application availability, stability and performance
• Investigate application and operational incidents
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution across technical teams
• Support application migration activities where required
• Support environment preparation and configuration
• Participate in controlled production changes
• Support incident, problem, change, release and configuration management processes
• Analyse application logs and technical information
• Work with databases where required for operational investigation
• Use scripting to automate selected repetitive operational activities
• Maintain operational and technical documentation
• Cooperate with application, Linux, middleware, infrastructure and security teams
Requirements
• Commercial experience in Application Operations, Application Administration or Application Support
• Experience supporting enterprise production applications
• Strong understanding of structured IT operational processes
• Experience working within large corporate organisations
• Knowledge of PL SQL or T SQL
• Scripting capability using at least one of PowerShell, Bash, Shell, Python or Perl
• Experience troubleshooting application environments
• Understanding of application infrastructure
• Experience with incident and problem management
• Experience with change and release processes
• Fluent Polish and English
