About the role

To strengthen our SRE team, we're seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/x) eager to shape the evolution of GameFabric. GameFabric leads innovation as a game server orchestration platform, while SteelShield delivers advanced DDoS protection tailored for game traffic. If you're passionate about driving progress in the gaming industry, we want you on our team.

Your mission

Oversee operations for multiple GameFabric environments, encompassing 50+ Kubernetes clusters alongside a central observability stack.
Collaborate closely with our developers to engineer scalable solutions from inception through to deployment.
Automate infrastructure and operations using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), GitOps practices (FluxCD), and our proprietary Kubernetes operators.
Refine and optimize our core tech stack across cloud and bare-metal environments.
Join our on-call rotation alongside the rest of the team to ensure seamless platform operations (once fully onboarded and comfortable).

Your profile

You own a degree in the IT field, an IT-related vocational education, or equivalent relevant work experience.
A rock-solid foundation in Linux with strong fundamentals essential for effective system debugging and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
Proven experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
Practical programming experience (e.g., Go, Python, or shell scripting). Since we build and maintain custom tooling, experience with Go or writing Kubernetes Controllers/Operators is a strong plus.
Passionate about automation, always looking for ways to streamline processes and eliminate repetitive tasks.
A collaborative team player who communicates complex technical topics clearly, listens to feedback, and raises concerns constructively.
Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).
