- The Role:An IT and cybersecurity internship for someone studying IT management or cybersecurity who wants experience in IT operations and protection methods.
- The Person:The person will help with day-to-day IT operations, work on new or ongoing IT projects and tasks, and gain experience with cybersecurity protection methods and related technologies.
- Requirements:The ideal candidate is completing an IT Management or Cybersecurity diploma or degree course and has a good understanding of TCP/IP networks, Office 365, Windows applications, Active Directory and Azure.
About the role
Role Overview
We have exciting opportunity for an IT & Cybersecurity Intern to join an international, expanding
company. In this role, you will work in a busy IT department assisting with day-to-day IT operations,
new or ongoing projects and tasks, as well as gaining experience in cybersecurity protection
methods. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies and systems
within the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Industry.
Technologies you will work with over the course of your internship:
• IT Ticket System
• IT Management Software
• Network Monitoring Software
• SIP Based Phone Systems
• Microsoft 365 Administration
• Network Infrastructure (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, CCTV Equipment)
• Anti-Virus Endpoint Management / Mobile MDM Software
• Backup and Restore Software
• Server Administration (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, etc)
• OS and application patch management
• Cybersecurity applications such as phishing email / malware detection
Requirements:
• Currently completing an IT Management or Cybersecurity diploma or degree course
• Good understanding of TCP/IP Networks
• Knowledge of Office 365, Windows applications, Active Directory and Azure
advantageous
• Familiar with Windows based Desktop and Server operating systems
• Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Hard-working, motivated individual with a can-do attitude and passion for this
industry
The working pattern for the Internship will be:
• Monday-Thursday; 8am – 5.30pm
• Friday; 8am – 3pm
