(Permanent - Hybrid) 

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare 

The Role:  

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Data Intelligence Consultant in our Data Intelligence Practice at OpenSky Data Systems in Naas. 

This is a consultancy role where the customer comes first. Our clients work across Public Sector, Healthcare, and Pharma, and each has its own operating model, terminology, pressures, and measures of success. Whether the discussion is about patient pathways, service backlogs, regulatory reporting, operational KPIs, or process efficiency, they expect the person across the table to understand the context quickly and translate it into clear, practical deliverables. 

The Candidate  

This role may suit you if you come from a business, operational, consulting, or service delivery background and want to move deeper into data, analytics, and AI.  

It may also suit you if you already work in BI, data analysis, or technology and want to move closer to clients, requirements, and business decision-making.

We have multi-disciplinary teams working across our 3 Centres of Excellence, Data Intelligence, Enterprise, Platforms & Integration and Business Applications & Automation. Key Responsibilities 

• Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders, from operational teams through to senior sponsors, and hold those relationships through the life of an engagement. 

• Understanding the Client’s Business: Build a full understanding of the client's sector, operating model and terminology so that you engage efficiently and build trust. 

• Requirements Gathering: Run workshops and stakeholder interviews to establish what the organisation needs, then work with our analysts and engineers to turn that into requirements they can build from. 

• Defining the Measures: Work with clients to define the KPIs, SLAs, thresholds, and benchmarks that matter to their operation, and challenge measures that will not answer the question behind them. 

• Bridging Business and Technical: Translate between the client and our engineering and analytics teams, review what is being built against what was agreed, and keep scope, risks, and expectations visible on both sides. 

• Developing Analytical Insight: As your data and analytical skills develop, take on more of the direct work: shaping Power BI reporting, sense-checking data yourself, and presenting findings in terms the client’s own business would use. 

• AI Advisory: Identify where analytics, automation, large language models, conversational AI, or agentic AI can improve business processes, while being realistic about risk, governance, and delivery effort. 

• Proposals & Bids: Contribute to proposals and tender responses, covering solution approach, effort estimates, and client presentations. 

What You Bring 

• Typically, 5 years in a business-facing role, where you were trusted to understand what an organisation needed and see it delivered: consulting, business analysis, operations, service delivery, programme management, or a similar client-facing discipline. 

• Genuine comfort with numbers and evidence, even without formal analytical training: the instinct to ask whether a figure actually supports the conclusion being drawn from it. 

• The ability to pick up an unfamiliar line of business quickly, and the initiative to do that research before a client meeting rather than during it. 

• A track record of translating in both directions, turning a business need into something a technical team can act on, and a technical constraint into plain language a client can make a decision on. 

• Requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and documentation clear enough for a delivery team to build from and a client to sign off. 

• Credibility in a room with senior stakeholders, and the judgement to know when to take a question away rather than answer it on the spot. 

• Proven ability to run several client engagements at once and meet commitments, while working as part of a team. 

• Native written & spoken English. 

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, analytical, or technology discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

What you do need is the appetite to learn, the judgement to apply that learning in a client setting, and the curiosity to keep building your technical depth. We will support you to develop the data, analytics, AI, and governance skills needed to operate credibly between clients and our technical teams in platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI etc.
