About the role
Role Summary
Overland AI is seeking a Senior Manager of Enterprise Data & Applications to build the data, analytics, and internal tools that help our teams operate as we scale. You will turn disconnected business data and manual workflows into reliable information and practical applications that improve how we plan, hire, build, and deliver.Â
You will own a prioritized roadmap across enterprise analytics, integrations, and business applications. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will build solutions directly, guide technical contributors, and help grow the team as business needs develop. Success means teams can trust the numbers, spend less time on manual work, and make faster operating decisions.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and delivery of enterprise analytics, internal applications, data integrations, and workflow automation, focusing resources on the highest-value operating needs.Â
- Partner with Infrastructure, Finance, People, Growth, Programs, Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering to understand workflows, clarify requirements, and translate business problems into practical technical solutions.Â
- Build and maintain data pipelines and shared data models that connect business systems and support reliable reporting. Define consistent metrics with business owners.Â
- Deliver dashboards and analysis for planning and performance reviews, including hiring, production throughput, program delivery, and financial performance.Â
- Develop applications and automations that reduce manual handoffs and duplicate work. Choose when to reuse or configure existing tools, integrate platforms, or build custom software.Â
- Establish data ownership, quality checks, documentation, and access controls in partnership with business owners and IT and Security.Â
- Own solutions through deployment, user training, adoption, maintenance, and ongoing improvement. Use feedback and operational monitoring to keep them useful and reliable.Â
- Manage vendors and delivery partners as needed, communicate priorities and tradeoffs, and track results such as adoption, data quality, cycle time, and manual work eliminated.Â
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, enterprise applications, internal software, or related technical disciplines, including 2+ years managing technical teams.Â
- Demonstrated delivery of data products, business applications, or automations that teams adopted and used to improve operating results.Â
- Experience with data modeling, APIs, systems integration, modern analytics platforms, and the practices needed to keep production data and applications reliable.Â
- Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into a prioritized roadmap, make sound technical tradeoffs, and deliver with limited resources.Â
- Experience coaching technical contributors and communicating clearly with business stakeholders, technical teams, and executives.Â
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Â
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Experience building internal capabilities at a growing hardware, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, robotics, or other technology company.Â
- Experience applying AI to internal workflows with appropriate human review, access controls, and evaluation of output quality.Â
- Experience integrating ERP, HR, recruiting, CRM, or financial systems and supporting the business processes they enable.Â
- Experience with workflow automation, integration, or low-code application platforms or comparable tools.Â
LocationÂ
This position is based in Seattle, WA.Â
