- The Role:This role is for a junior backend QA engineer working on identity verification and customer onboarding for KYC.
- The Person:The person will analyze requirements, create test scenarios and data, run acceptance and regression testing, write automated tests in Go, report defects, maintain test documentation, and work with the product team through releases.
- Requirements:The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience in QA, experience developing and maintaining test documentation, programming experience in Go, Java, Kotlin or Python, Git or other version control systems, and B1 or higher English.
About the role
We are looking for a Junior+ QA Engineer - Backend (Golang) for the KYC Team — the team behind Banco Plata’s identity verification and customer onboarding framework. The team combines biometric checks, document validation, and multiple verification providers to reduce fraud, strengthen data integrity, and deliver a reliable, compliant onboarding experience across all channels.
Challenges that await you:
- Analyzing requirements, creating test scenarios, preparing test data
- Developing and maintaining test documentation
- Acceptance and regression testing (automated and manual)
- Writing and maintaining automated tests in Go
- Identifying, localizing, and reporting defects using a bug tracking system
- Communicating with the product team throughout development and participating in releases
- Maintaining the test project
What makes you a great fit:
- 1–2 years of experience in QA
- A proactive, persistent, get-it-done attitude — you enjoy chasing a problem across teams until it’s actually solved, not just reported
- Experience developing and maintaining test documentation
- Programming experience in Go / Java / Kotlin / Python
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team
Your bonus skills:
- Hands-on experience in writing automated tests
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with AI tools in testing
