About the role
About the company
Our client is a financial technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the process of bringing client data into a software platform, mapping it from source systems, resolving data issues quickly and documenting repeatable procedures. The role blends hands-on data work with explaining technical findings to colleagues outside engineering.
What you'll do
- Take ownership of mapping each new client's source data into the platform so it can be loaded and used correctly.
- Diagnose and fix live data problems, such as fields that do not map as expected or rules that are not applied correctly.
- Translate technical findings into plain explanations that client-facing teams can share with their customers.
- Document and formalize a data mapping process that currently lives mostly in team knowledge.
- Work with senior technical leaders to build reusable checks, automation and governance standards that prevent recurring issues and reduce dependence on engineering.
- Balance onboarding work with troubleshooting, with the mix shifting depending on current needs.
Requirements
What we're looking for

- Experience onboarding customer or partner data, including mapping, loading and validating messy source files.
- Working proficiency in Python or JavaScript for verifying, reshaping and scheduling data work.
- Expert-level Excel skills.
- A record of tracing data discrepancies to their root cause and confirming the fix works.
- Two to four years of relevant experience.
Bonus points
- Experience at an early-stage startup.
- Familiarity with information and terminology from the banking or lending sector.
