About the role
SAIC is seeking a talented and driven Systems Test Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. In this critical role, you will contribute to the development, testing, integration, and deployment of cutting-edge solutions that enhance the capabilities of warfighters and improve the user experience for mission-critical applications. As a key team member, you will play a crucial role in integrating new ground systems with legacy infrastructure including the testing of software, hardware, and complex systems to streamline the secure development and deployment of mission-critical solutions. Working within a rapid prototyping team, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, data engineers, DevSecOps engineers, and other systems engineers to ensure robust and high-performing solutions.
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven individual to support the planning, testing, maintenance, and operational efforts for the Battle Management Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (BMC3I) software. This includes facilitating a diverse range of application testing activities, assisting with mission planning, and acquiring in-depth knowledge of each application's purpose and testing requirements. Success in this role will require close coordination with mission application developers and stakeholders across the broader BMC3I ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and actively participate in agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for mission-critical applications.
- Integrate new ground systems into legacy SCN systems, covering roadmap development, system design, and on-site testing for seamless interoperability.
- Oversee and contribute to functional, regression, exploratory, and Section 508 compliance testing.
- Provide strategic guidance for integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in partnership with developers and clients.
- Promote test automation and best practices to improve software quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of mission applications and their testing requirements.
