Role Description Â
We are looking for an experienced Lead AWS Infrastructure Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure environments. In this role, you will own infrastructure architecture strategy, establish cloud standards and best practices, and lead cross-functional teams in delivering scalable, secure, and highly available AWS solutions. You will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, providing direction across infrastructure initiatives while ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives.Â
The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience across AWS networking, infrastructure automation, observability, security, and cloud architecture, combined with strong leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, and project delivery capabilities.Â

Key Responsibilities:Â Â

Lead infrastructure initiatives from discovery and architecture design through implementation, production rollout, and operational optimizationÂ

Own and define AWS infrastructure architecture standards, governance models, and best practices across multiple projects and teamsÂ
-
Design and maintain scalable AWS architectures, including High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation (HLD/LLD)Â
-
Drive technical discovery workshops, capacity planning, performance optimization, observability strategies, and operational excellence initiativesÂ
-
Lead the implementation and evolution of multi-account, multi-environment AWS architectures utilizing Hub-and-Spoke VPC models and AWS Transit GatewayÂ
-
Define enterprise-wide network security standards and controls, including AWS Network Firewall, VPN solutions, and centralized security policiesÂ
-
Collaborate with senior stakeholders, architects, security teams, and engineering leaders to align infrastructure solutions with business objectivesÂ
-
Design and oversee ingress architectures utilizing Application Load Balancers (ALB), REST APIs, and WebSocket connectivityÂ
-
Lead infrastructure security initiatives, including AWS WAF and AWS Shield implementation and continuous improvementÂ
-
Architect resilient compute and storage solutions leveraging EC2, EBS, S3, and Aurora PostgreSQLÂ
-
Drive infrastructure automation strategy and adoption using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AnsibleÂ
-
Provide technical oversight for Windows Server environments and cloud-native infrastructure management utilizing AWS Systems Manager (SSM)Â
-
Define and guide observability strategies using OpenTelemetry, AWS Managed Prometheus, Grafana Cloud, and centralized logging platformsÂ
-
Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD solutions supporting automated deployments across multiple environmentsÂ
-
Mentor and support engineers, promote technical excellence, and foster knowledge sharing within the teamÂ
-
Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, architecture, and operational challengesÂ

Your Profile Â
Must Have Requirements Â
-
5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture rolesÂ
-
Proven experience leading large-scale AWS transformation or infrastructure projects from architecture design through production deploymentÂ
-
Expertise in enterprise-level AWS architecture and cloud strategyÂ
-
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellenceÂ
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisionsÂ
-
Experience producing technical documentation, architecture blueprints, HLDs, and LLDsÂ
-
Ability to align cloud architecture initiatives with business objectives and organizational prioritiesÂ
-
Hands-on experience with AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Hub-and-Spoke VPC architecturesÂ
-
Strong knowledge of AWS Network Firewall, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN, AWS WAF, and AWS ShieldÂ
-
Extensive experience with AWS EC2, EBS, S3, and Aurora PostgreSQLÂ
-
Strong understanding of infrastructure design for high availability, scalability, performance, resilience, and securityÂ
-
Experience defining infrastructure standards, best practices, and governance frameworksÂ
-
Advanced proficiency with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormationÂ
-
Automation experience with AnsibleÂ
