  • The Role:This role is for a software engineer supporting malware analysis modernization and malware enrichment services for federal government customers.
  • The Person:The person will develop new capabilities for a virtual malware containment enclave, support modernization of malware enrichment services, review and test software components, and resolve software problem reports.
  • Requirements:The role requires developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems, using software development and software design methodologies, and working with COTS, GOTS, and security clearance requirements.

We require an experienced developer to deliver a customer facing product to a widespread user base. Must have experience using Jira to create and monitor tickets. This role will have direct customer interaction, including product demonstrations, and daily scrum meetings to convey current status of progress. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge PULSE / ABACUS, and an understanding of the current modernization efforts to include Report Authoring & Dissemination (RAD).

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade- offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

**This position requires PRIVAC. Candidate must have a current (within 7 years) poly and/or currently possess the minimum level of PRIVAC required for this role (NSYS).
