- The Role:This is a Java developer role for someone building scalable software systems and platform solutions in an AI and digital transformation environment.
- The Person:The person will design and implement scalable Java solutions, build and evolve microservices, translate business problems into technical designs, manage infrastructure with Terraform, and improve engineering processes and code quality.
- Requirements:The role requires 6+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer within the JVM ecosystem, strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, experience with microservices architecture, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

You will be:
- designing and implementing scalable solutions using Java 25 and Spring Boot,
- translating business problems into technical strategies, high-level designs, and delivering them through implementation,
- developing and evolving microservices based on DDD and Event Sourcing,
- working with Azure, including AKS/Kubernetes, and managing infrastructure using Terraform,
- designing and developing solutions using PostgreSQL and event-driven approaches,
- collaborating with engineers across teams to align solutions and simplify integrations,
- taking ownership of feature delivery from requirements clarification through implementation,
- contributing to technical and business strategy by proposing improvements and new approaches,
- identifying architectural and technical gaps and driving their resolution,
- improving engineering processes, code quality, and ways of working within the team.
Your profile:
- 6+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer within the JVM ecosystem,
- strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, with a good understanding of the underlying technologies and abstractions,
- experience working in Agile environments,
- ability to independently translate business problems into technical solutions and lead their implementation,
- experience with microservices architecture, preferably with DDD and Event Sourcing,
- practical experience with Azure, Kubernetes/AKS, and Terraform,
- experience with PostgreSQL and modern CI/CD practices, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD,
- familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk and automated testing with Spock,
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.
- strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and drive alignment,
- proactive and ownership-oriented approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering valuable solutions,
- good command of English (min. B2),
- availability to start as soon as possible,
- willingness to work from the client's Kraków office at least once a week.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:

Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.
- Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
