Job Description
Position SummaryÂ
The Engineering Technician supports CNC production activities at the MasterBrand Cabinets manufacturing facility in Arthur. This role provides hands-on support on the shop floor to maximize equipment utilization and assist with the modification and improvement of equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes.Â
Hiring Range: $27.50-30.60 hourly, paid weekly. *Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors

Core Responsibilities:Â Â

Maintain Microvellum libraries for Arthur and assist other MBCI sites as needed.

Nesting program evaluations and managing Microvellum.Â

Machine tooling monitoring for part quality and tool life expectations.Â
-
CI projects focused on quality improvements, sheet utilization, part sequencing, and other improvements. Â
-
Ensure overall machine health, safety, and full functioning.Â
-
Operations involvement, including the development of manufacturing documentation as needed, developing improvements on the floor for operations.  Â

Microvellum is a design to software for cabinetry integrating CAD tools with CNC production for streamlined workflows. Training will be provided!Â
Day-To-Day ResponsibilitiesÂ

Develop / manage Microvellum optimizations as needed.Â
-
Develop, change, and manage CNC programs as needed for DMRs.Â
-
Verify quality, parts, tooling, and new production parts on the CNC machining machines.Â
-
Improve, monitor, and coach new processes for yield improvements in Millroom.Â

Manage and implement yield initiatives collaboratively with Engineering.Â
-
Liaison between manufacturing and engineering. Â

Train, test, and monitor operator knowledge on equipment and operation of machines.Â
RequirementsÂ
- Industrial experience in manufacturing process development Â

Able to read product prints and machine prints and manualsÂ

Trouble shooting experience in programing / machining issuesÂ

Expected to work with minimal guidance to given goalsÂ

Must have good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Â

Well organized, good interpersonal skills and a team playerÂ
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required. Degree and/or certification in industrial engineering a plus

AutoCAD software knowledge is preferredÂ

CAD/CAM understanding preferred Â

Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing, & TPM is desiredÂ

Good mechanical aptitude and wood and metal fabrication capabilities Â

MBCI product knowledge preferredÂ
