As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining Intel's world-class infrastructure to support groundbreaking innovation and operational excellence. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing facility expansion, optimizing systems, and ensuring seamless operations that drive Intel's success. This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities, offering hands-on opportunities to make a tangible impact. Your work will directly contribute to Intel's ability to deliver cutting-edge technology while ensuring compliance with regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities to support operational excellence.
- Analyze operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety protocols, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Conduct detailed analysis using data, blueprints, and reports to assess project costs and prepare accurate budgets.
- Design and oversee facility expansion projects, including layout, capacity management, forecasting, and quality control measures.
- Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to identify and execute efficiency improvements.
- Develop processing plans that optimize resource allocation and enhance productivity.
- Coordinate and plan infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with and oversee contractors performing maintenance-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards, preparing comprehensive reports and documentation.
- Oversee commissioning process for their system intervention.
- Responsible for optimization and management of mechanical systems related to HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), CHW (Chilled Water), CW (Condensed Water), PW (Potable Water), PV (Pressure Vessel), Pluvial Water.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electro Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience with mechanical systems.
- Experience in facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, and site operations.
- Expertise in systems design and management, statistical process control, and disciplined execution.
- Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience optimizing operational systems and infrastructure.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, including overseeing contractors and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, improve resource allocation, and drive operational efficiencies.
