About the role

Your impact

At aleno, you make complex software for hotels and restaurants easy to understand. aleno combines reservation and guest management with integrations into hotel and POS systems and automated workflows. Our customers are hotels, hotel groups, restaurant groups and top restaurants.
You combine technical product understanding with clear communication and show hosts what our solution can do, how it works and what difference aleno makes in day-to-day operations.
You work closely with Product, Sales and Customer Success. You put your own ideas into action and see the impact of your work through exchange with the team and our customers.

What we expect from this position

  • You use aleno yourself and know not only what a feature does, but also how it works and what it requires.
  • You bring together knowledge from Product, Customer Success and Sales and are the central link between product and market.
  • Together with Sales, you develop the positioning and messaging for our solution and its features.
  • You own the go-to-market for new features, from the message to the finished material.
  • Concept and execution are in your hands: website and campaign copy, presentations, newsletters, success stories, pitch decks and battle cards.
  • You test what resonates in customer conversations, keep an eye on the competition and feed your insights back to the product team.

What You'll bring to the table

  • Proven experience in product marketing at a SaaS company
  • Eagerness to go deep on the technical side. You won't build integrations, but you want to understand which data flows between systems, when and why.
  • Strong execution. You write yourself, precisely, with your own style and without marketing fluff. You also think about explanations visually.
  • Confident presenting, both internally and in front of customers
  • A feel for which message works at which stage of the customer journey
  • You enjoy bringing together the different perspectives of Sales, Product, Customer Success and Onboarding
  • Excellent German (C2) and confident English
  • Experience in the hospitality industry? That's a big plus, but not a requirement.

Our hiring process

Send us your CV and a work sample that shows us how you explain a product. This could be a positioning, a feature launch, a battle card, a pitch deck, a success story or website copy. Ideally something you wrote or designed visually yourself.
Upload the work sample as a file with your application or add a link in your CV. If your work is confidential, black out sensitive content or describe in a few sentences what the task was and what you made of it. We don't need a cover letter.

Here's how the process works after you submit your application

  1. Getting to know each other (30 minutes, remote): A first conversation with People & Culture. We get to know each other and talk about your motivation and the general conditions.
  2. Expert interview (remote): Together with Stefan (Hiring Manager), you talk about your experience in product marketing and go through your work samples together.
  3. Case (remote or on site): You work on a small task around an aleno feature and present your results to us.

We'll get back to you promptly after each step.
