Job Summary 

The Chief Growth & Marketing Officer is responsible for driving the Bank’s strategic growth, growing core business deposits, growing market share, and overseeing all marketing, branding, and communication initiatives. This role bridges the gap between market presence and revenue generation to align promotion strategy with profitability goals. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth: Develops and executes strategies to attract new business targeting deposit rich verticals such as legal firms, healthcare practices, property management and title companies, and expand existing relationships. Meet targets for core deposit growth and cross-sell cash management products. Collaborates with Director of Business Development to stay current on all deposit initiatives. 
  • Marketing & Branding Strategy: Creates an annual Marketing budget. Oversees advertising, social media, and digital marketing programs (PPC, SEO, email) to drive lead generation. Manages marketing vendor relationships and maintains strong cross-departmental relationships and opportunities with Lenders and Business Development Officers. 
  • Market Presence: Represents the Bank in civic and community functions. Oversees corporate events, seminars, and customer appreciation initiatives to enhance the Bank’s brand image.
  • Analysis & Compliance: Monitors industry trends, new marketing technology, and ROI metrics to report progress to Executive leadership. Coordinates deposit strategies and marketing with compliance to maintain regulatory standards and secure funds. 
  • Product Development: Collaborates with Retail leadership to develop and refine onboarding, retention, and customer loyalty programs. Collaborates with Business Development and Cash Management teams for business specific industry products.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related filed; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a financial institution, with significant background in both commercial banking and bank marketing.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent public speaking and business writing capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial banking policies and bank profitability components. Demonstrable experience in developing efficient business plans, obtaining new clients, and managing budgets.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer keyboard, mouse, and other standard office components.
  • Ability to converse and exchange information effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, and identify complex data.
  • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile, and/or bus as needed.
