The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the marketing function for a software company, covering positioning, demand generation, launches, sales materials and lifecycle programs. The role is hands-on and judged by the qualified opportunities it delivers to revenue colleagues, and it reports to the company's chief executive.
What you'll do
- Set positioning and messaging for the company's product lines and how they sell together.
- Write core marketing narrative across the website, pitch materials, one-pagers and launch copy.
- Provide market-side input into pricing and packaging.
- Deliver a steady monthly flow of qualified prospects to the sales team against a target.
- Choose and run marketing channels suited to developer and engineering audiences, including content, search, paid, partners, outbound support and events.
- Set up tracking across the full funnel in the CRM so each channel's origin, stage progress and acquisition expense can be reviewed.
- Organize release announcements and campaign rollouts from concept through to going live.
- Manage the website, newsletter, social channels, events and developer community.
- Decide which events and partnerships are worth investing in and stop those that are not.
- Assemble customer evidence such as case studies, performance benchmarks and testimonial quotes for sales use.
- Prepare sales presentations, competitor comparison sheets and guidance for handling common buyer objections, in partnership with revenue colleagues.
- Design automated email sequences that guide new registrants and people on waitlists toward engagement and a sales conversation.
- Agree with product and revenue colleagues on what counts as an engaged user and a lead ready for sales.
- Report on conversion from signup to activation to paid, and work to improve it.
