Whether you operate in an Agile, waterfall or hybrid environment, what matters is delivering outcomes against time, budget and scope.
Technical project managers bridge the gap between straightforward delivery management and technical understanding, and are often sought by engineering and product organisations. Organisations that run product teams are more likely to hire Scrum Masters and Agile coaches, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience is increasingly valuable in larger businesses undergoing Agile transformation.
Digital agencies and government digital teams are more likely to hire delivery managers, a role that operates with a more light-touch facilitation style. These focus on removing blockers and enabling teams to work autonomously.
